Does anyone find it odd that people think Obama is a Messiah?

And that there is now a shortage on guns from all the gun sales since Barack was elected? The world loves Obama, they worship him, and QVC is already selling Obama Gold coins. Have we gone mad? Obama is just a human man, unless I missed something. Did I miss the television announcement that said Obama was Jesus or something? You are worshiping him and he hasn’t even done anything yet. He’s just a man people why the idol worship? This election has truly shown me how evil and narrow minded people can be.

And who has made this comparison?
Obama is no comparison with Jesus!
No one worships him, they are just happy he is president.
You cannot assume if people are happy for him & for themselves, they are worshipping him. Thats really stupid.

  • aimee c says:

ONLY THE REPUBLICANS CALL HIM THIS.I HAVE NEVER HEARD A DEMOCRAT REFER TO OBAMA AS THE MESSIAH.

    HE IS NOT THE MESSIAH

  • Sgt Carter says:

Not at all. At least he’s a real person.

  • someguy says:

    i still have my guns

  • neil s says:

All of the words in his speeches actually exist. If you don’t see that as evidence of positive change, you haven’t been paying attention.

  • starlove2 says:

Only the conservative Republicans are making that up. They worship him yet abuse him.

  • firefly says:

I think Obummer is nothing butt a piece of ……#!&###!)*(&

  • Obamahood, spread the wealth! says:

He is NO messiah….He is a mere man, with limitations like the rest of us…And yes I noticed some think he is a Messiah.

  • Morbius says:

It’s called making a buck. Welcome to America.

The only people calling Obama a messiah are his opponents.

  • vikings1975 says:

    IT IS NAUSEATING AND INSULTING!

People are expecting that he will take care of everything for them – this is not Republicans that are calling him the “Messiah.” I am hearing this from Obama supporters!

  • Running Mate says:

No. People that are fearful will believe anything. Look at how many people listen to Rush.

  • katydid says:

I’ve NEVER heard an Obama supporter claim that he is the Messiah. That’s coming from the right.
Obama’s election is historical. He’s the first Black president and I’m guessing you’re having problems dealing with McCain’s loss. Get over it and support your next president.

  • Charles Hussein Veidt says:

I’ve never heard a non-Republican can him the messiah. They’re just getting the evangelicals riled up.

  • Don't Shoot The Messenger says:

*sigh* The only people who call Obama “The Messiah” are Republicans. Please, please think before you ask. That is all.

Peg B: So because Farakhan said it all Democrats think it. *rolling eyes* LMAO, he’s a crazy person. That would be like me saying “Rush Limbaugh says” and expecting people to take me seriosuly. Please, Please, shut the hell up.

  • Joshua H says:

Huh? No one is saying that, just McCain supporters. Some of them also say he’s the anti-Christ. Loon city all around, I fear.

  • Robin L says:

Yes it is scary. people are acting as if he has already been in the oval office and has had many accomplishments. He talked the talk now let’s see if he can walk the walk. There will be many awakenings in the months to come.

  • Bushrod Isbister says:

THIS election has shown you how evil people can be? And what did the last two that put Bush and his cronies is power show you?

  • datukchew says:

U r right. Obama is not Jesus. They both are human beings lived in different times. If people worship him that proves a point that they are always idiots around.

  • PureObama says:

When you have George W. Bush as President for 8 years, running a muck on the planet Earth, any human man can appear to some as a sort of savior. Put me next to Bush, and I might look like the Messiah.

  • Betsy says:

Obama IS just a person, with good intentions…whether they are the intentions that will actually work or not remain to be seen. However, on the opposite side of the same issue…nor is he the Anti-Christ, a TRUE socialist or communist….none of the hateful things being claimed.
I think if everyone on BOTH sides who are slinging hate would put that energy to a better use…we could make a good start at fixing some of out nation’s problems.
THe type of question you ask, quite honestly, is included in that.
I voted for Obama, but like every government official, getting INTO office is only the beginning. They still have to prove themselves.

Just FYI, those coins are not just on QVC and yes, it’s crazy.

  • Peg B says:

Farrakhan is the person I heard refer to Obama as a Messiah.
I doubt if he is a Republican.

  • Sparta23 says:

I find it odd that people think Republican views are good for the country.

  • The Dragon Reborn says:

nobody’s “worshipping”, honey. he’s just a breath of fresh air.

  • aurorah says:

It’s just one of many labels put on him. We are glad to be rid of Bush, and we like Obama. Nobody calls him a Messiah, or Anti Christ, except right wing Christians, who cannot separate government from religion.

What is evil and narrow minded is to expect everyone to believe exactly as you do. What do you call the actions of Palin’s supporters? Bet you put them in another category, because, surprise, she’s Christian.

  • jack says:

he is just a man , obama supporters made it sound he’s the black jesus and that really offended me.the fact is jesus is the son of god
